How World War I Influenced Hitler with James Pool

In commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the U.S. entry into World War I, this series of lectures on Hitler will focus on how he was affected by the war. It was one of the dominant influences in his life. He saw World War II as a continuation of World War I.

Lecture 1: World War I from the view of two common men: Hitler & Rasputin
Lecture 2: The Versailles Treaty: Hitler born at Versailles
Lecture 3: How anti-Semitism in Russia during WWI influenced Hitler
Lecture 4: Hitler and the inflation: Early days of the Nazis
    Lecture 5: Hitler’s failed revolution
Lecture 6: Hitler’s henchmen: men shaped by World War I

James Pool received his bachelor’s and master’s from the University of Cincinnati where he wrote his master’s thesis on Hitler’s speeches. While living in Europe he wrote his first book, “Who Financed Hitler,” based on his interviews with people like Albert Speer and Diana Mitford and those who gave Hitler money like Frau Wagner and Prince Schaumberg-Lippe. The book was translated into six languages. He later wrote a second book, “Hitler and his Secret Partners. James currently lives in Palm Beach and London, and is writing a new book about Rasputin and World War I.
