Palm Beach Symphony with Chee-Yun Kim, violin

Monday, January 13, 2020 @ 7:30pm
The Society of the Four Arts

Palm Beach Symphony makes the first of its two appearances this season, each with violin soloist Chee-Yun Kim, whose flawless technique, dazzling tone, and compelling artistry have enraptured audiences on five continents. A recipient of the Avery Fisher Career Grant and winner of the Young Concert Artists International Auditions, Chee-Yun plays a violin made by Francesco Ruggieri in 1669 that is rumored to have been buried with a previous owner for 200 years. Chee-Yun will join the full Symphony for Mendelssohn’s beloved Violin Concerto in E Minor, Op. 64, on a program that also includes Mozart’s “Jupiter” Symphony No. 41 in C Major, K. 551, and Copland’s Appalachian Spring.
