OLLI at FAU, Boca Raton
Our Lifelong Learning program for adult learners was established here, on the Boca Raton campus of Florida Atlantic University, in 1980. With over 25,000 patron registrations per year, the program in Boca Raton is a national model of exemplary lifelong learning. In 2017, we became an OLLI.
Most of our programs are held in the Barry and Florence Friedberg Lifelong Learning Center Auditorium; an attractive 500-seat auditorium donated by the generous support of the Friedbergs and hundreds of patrons. It is a custom-designed auditorium with wide aisles, an outstanding audiovisual system, superior acoustics and standards providing accessibility and comfort for the physically challenged.
Programs are presented in the Fall, Winter and Spring. Lectures run for eight weeks in the Fall and Winter and four weeks during the Spring. Four-week series and single performance/lectures are also offered.
Florida Atlantic University's regular teaching faculty comprise the core of presenters for our program. Adjunct professors, professors from other local universities and colleges, and distinguished national and international lecturers are invited to participate.
