Currie Park

The site is adjacent to the Intracoastal Waterway and a beautiful location for a game of tennis or a fishing outing. The park is named after George Graham Currie, who was a poet, lawyer, developer and Mayor of the City of West Palm Beach from 1901 to 1904.

In addition to the amenities listed, Currie Park also includes plenty of open green space, playground, tennis courts, a boat ramp into the intracoastal waterway, a Maritime Museum, and a memorial to the late Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King, Jr.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial
Completed in 2004 and visible from Flagler Drive, is the Martin Luther King Jr. Landmark Memorial commemorating the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. At the center is a large bronze sculpture of Dr. King with cascading water on a curved granite wall behind him. On the wall as well as behind it are several quotes of people and events from Dr. King’s life and the civil rights movement.
