Demetrius Klein Dance Company

DKDC/DIY Projects is a collective of dance and movement artists committed to the creative process and to producing dance works of uncompromising artistic integrity in a variety of traditional and non-traditional settings. 

The Demetrius Klein Dance Company has been a staple of the regional arts scene—and South Florida’s oldest modern dance company—since 1986. Mr. Klein is a celebrated choreographer whose awards include the Randolph A. Frank Prize for the Performing Arts, the Hector Ubertalli Award for Artistic Excellence, a Choreographic Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts, a Guggenheim Fellowship, and several grants from the MacArthur Foundation.
